Transitioning Your Skin From Summer To Fall

Glow Enhancing Tips for Transition from Summer to Fall for Different Skin Types.

Fall is in the air...As the weather gets cooler your skin type has different needs.
Here are a few tips for the transition for your skin type:

Oily/Combination Skin:

Cooler air creates layers of dead skin build up which can trap blackheads and blemishes. Regular exfoliation helps eliminate build up and create an immediate brighter complexion.
I prefer acid based exfoliants to physical bead or seed types because they exfoliate without creating micro tears or capillary fragility.
I recommend my naturally pink Angela Caglia Dream Exfoliant Mask two times a week. It is made with Glycolic acid, distilled rose petals, and sweet purple potato extract.

Normal Skin:

Needs added moisture during colder seasons. Look for a moisturizer with healthy essential fatty acids with natural oils such as jojoba oil, meadowfoam seed oil, or avocado oil. You can also step it up by applying a face oil in the evening for added moisture or layer it with your moisturizer. My Angela Caglia Soufflé moisturizer is made with meadowfoam seed oil, goats milk and jojoba oil. My Angela Caglia Luxurious Face Oil is made with an exotic blend of Buriti Oil, borage oil, meadowfoam seed oil, sweet orange blossom and rose geranium.

Sensitive skin:

Needs calming ingredients for soothing and essential fatty acids in natural oils to protect the barrier and sooth.  Look for Chamomile as an ingredient in milky cleansers, cleansing balms, and masks.  My Power Cleansing Balm contains chamomile for soothing sensitive skin and it can be used as a cleanser and a mask.

Mature-Dry:

Exfoliate 2 times a week to brighten your skin and remove dead skin cell build up.

Wash your face not with a foaming cleanser that could strip away moisture, but a skin hydrating milky cleanser or cleansing balm made with botanical oils for soothing and plumping. (Steer clear of any cleansing balms made with mineral oil-- clogs pores).  My Angela Caglia Power Cleansing Balm is made with shea butter, meadowfoam seed oil, borage oil and rose geranium. 90.00 You can use it as a 10 minute moisture mask as well once a week for intense moisture. Adding Vitamin C, retinols and or peptides topically in your skincare routine daily stimulate collagen synthesis. We lose collagen and therefore volume loss as we age.
